Frequently Asked Questions

A few extra bits and pieces to fill in anything we haven’t covered elsewhere. If you’ve got a question we haven’t answered, just drop us a message...

Can we bring children?RSVP
Unfortunately, due to numbers and the nature of the celebration, this will be an adults-only day.
Can we bring dogs?RSVP
Unfortunately not. The venue has a limit of one dog per wedding (which in our case is being taken up by Bailey).
Do you have a gift list?Gifts
We don’t have a gift list — we really don’t need anything except for everyone to come and celebrate with us. If you did want to give something, a contribution towards our honeymoon or a little towards a house deposit would be appreciated. Alternatively, we’d love a copy of your favourite book with a note inside.
What is the dress code?/What should I wear? All
The dress code is semi-formal — smart, stylish, and comfortable rather than ultra-formal. Think nice dresses, kilts, or suits (tie optional). Avoid stilettos due to uneven ground and bring something warm for the evening.
Can we camp or bring a campervan?Onsite
No — camping and campervans aren’t permitted at Drovers. Onsite stays are in the safari tents and bell tents only.
Can we smoke or vape?All
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in the designated outdoor areas. They are not allowed inside barns or accommodation.
How does the bar work?All
Drinks will be available from a card-only bar (no cash). Please don’t bring your own alcohol — all drinks must be bought at the bar.
Is the venue accessible?All
Yes — the barns and reception areas are wheelchair accessible, and each bathroom has an accessible stall. The orchard walk can be uneven as it goes through fields. For further accessibility concerns, you can email Drovers directly.
What’s for dinner?All
A sit-down meal served as sharing platters. Please include any dietary requirements in your RSVP so they can be catered for.
What time does it finish?All
Celebrations will wrap up around 11:30 pm. Outdoor music stops at 11:30, indoor music and the bar close at midnight. All guests not staying onsite must leave by 12:30 am.
Is the ceremony unplugged?All
Yes, we kindly ask guests not to use phones or cameras during the ceremony. We’ll have a photographer and videographer capturing it all.
What are our accommodation options?Onsite
For full accommodation options, please see the accommodation page. There are onsite and offsite options.
What time should we arrive?All
The ceremony begins at 1 pm, but please arrive by 12:30 pm. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the orchard.
Where will the ceremony be held? All
If the weather behaves itself, in the orchard. If not, in one of the barns.
How do we contact you if we have a problem? All
You can reach us at cake26wedding@gmail.com.
